What is with this ebay vendor: sphynx_watch_company placing orange dots etc on the dials of the watches they're auctioning? Here's an example: item 331482076542
Greetings! I have been looking for a daily wear watch that can handle the elements yet still be nice enough to wear out casual - the proverbial "Jack Watch" if you will (Jack of trades). I was originally leaning toward the Marathon TSAR (and still want one someday). I liked the, deep breath, quartz movement. With the quartz, you have ultimate flexibility - can sit for a month, and you are still ready to go.But then, I ran across a Vostok K3. I have looked at the Vostoks before and have been interested in picking one up. Found one elsewhere at a good price that was unworn and came on a bracelet. It has a nice size (41mm), interesting day/night complication, date, 10ATM water resistance, and a reliable auto movement. Perfect for camping, biking, etc.I'm looking forward to it - my first sub. And yes, I'll post pics when it arrives.B
Im wondering if it still available brand new somewhere?
Hey guys,New collector here. My buddy is offering me his PAM382 for $19k without box and papers. It also has an aftermarket strap.I am 100% sure it is real. My friend lost the box, papers, and OEM strap in a recent cross-country move (he is very unhappy about it!), and is now looking to downsize his collection. Would any of you take the deal?
Just wanted to share -I work at a company that provides a paid 1-month leave once you complete a full 5 years with good performance reviews. I just kicked mine off a couple weeks ago, and the wife and I went to Japan. From the east I have brought back:E-serial Rolex 14060 from 1990. Original tritium dial and hands, though the pip / bezel has been replaced. Full kit - matching box and papers. Over the moon with this one. Coming from the 116719 BLRO and a 114060 Submariner; it's weird but kind of nice to have such a light and comfortable, small watch that has that trademark rattle. As soon as we got back from the states, my AD let me know that a BLNR that I put myself on the list for, arrived; so we went and picked that one up. The BLNR is for the wife, so we now have his & hers GMT watches:I gotta say, it's been a pretty good break so far :) (Great for the soul, bad for the wallet)
