- I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of this watch. It's better--much, much better--than the pictures posted on the website would lead you to believe. That's not to say the watch is without flaws. Given the price, I'd expect the buckle to be a little more fashion forward (e.g., deployment type clasp).

We talk about a few bad developments at Baselworld 2010 (not all new watches are good!) Then, we cut into an interview that John had with the founder of RGM watches - the only mechanical watch maker in America that makes their own movements.Listen to HourTime Show watch podcast episode 19 here.

Got two new additions in the mail today.I don't know why I wince everytime I see this watch. I guess it reminds me of a case adjustment gone terribly wrong.I love these recased WWII movements. I have 2 Elgin 539's, 2 Watham 6/0'42's, a Bulova 10aksch and a Hamilton Sectometer. And now this 554.Of course any information is appreciated, Joel
I am a regular at a few thrift stores in my area. I was asked the other day if I had seen the 14K gold watch the store sold about a month ago. I knew I woudnt have missed seeing that. I was than told it was digital I did a little googling and didnt come up with much in the way of this type of watch. Anyone know who made such an abomination? Just curious.Justin
