TW Steel CE4014 wrist watches news:
This month on watches-dealer, you can enter for a chance to win a timepiece by the new San Francisco, California-based watch company Minus-8 (referring, of course, to GMT-8 as the time zone of San Francisco). The watch is called the Layer, and it combines a hip modern design with a Japanese automatic mechanical movement. Further, the Minus-8 Layer watch has an NFC-enabled silicon strap which includes a "near field communication" chip that allows the watch to interact with smartphones and other devices. There are a range of things that NFC in a watch can be used for. One good example, is allowing the watch to "unlock" a phone when it is in near proximity to it. There are currently four available versions of the Minus-8 Layer watch. Each comes in a steel case colored different with PVD coating applications. The case is 45mm wide, with a sapphire crystal, and 100 meters of water resistance.Inside the Layer watch is a Japanese automatic mechanical movement which is visible through a transpa

005.jpg001.jpgHi Rick, I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on the rust in my Eterna movement. Last week I took it to a local watchmaker to have it cleaned, and he called me back an told me it was pretty rusty. He said there wasnt any he could do. Could the rust be removed from the movement? Is it worth trying to save the watch or should i just take it as a loss and look for another one?
I just went in to an AD to have the bracelet adjusted on my 5711. I asked them to add one link back to the bracelet. And so I handed over my 5711 and a chain of what I thought was 7 spare links. I got my 5711 back with one link added to the bracelet, and a chain of 5 spare links. Now, I can't remember if I started with a chain of 7 or 6 spare links. Maybe it wasn't seven to start with?In total, I now have 5 spare links and 2 removable links on the bracelet, for a total of 7 removable links. Does the Nautilus come from the factory with 8 or 7 removable links on the bracelet? Thanks for any help.
I'm considering a PAM 523 (Luminor 1950 42mm white dial). So far I've mainly collected Rolexes.Anything I need to consider or another model you may suggest? I have smaller wrist so anything more than 42 is too big.Should I expect to get a discount from a Panerai AD?Thanks for the info.
