Click to view inviteHarry Winston had a really strong showing at Basel this year, and we're not even talking about the undisputed star of the show, the Opus Eleven.? You can tell the brand is paying a lot of attention to timepieces, and as CEO Fr¨¦d¨¦ric de Narp said in his presentation to us, it's amazing to see what Harry Winston has accomplished in only 20 years of watchmaking. The Harry Winston 2011 collection is expansive, and while the Opus is surely the focal point, the rest of the pieces are rather refined, and supremely elegant.? We'll be highlighting a few of them over the coming weeks, but in the mean time, we would like to invite you to view the entire collection in New York City. The full Harry Winston collection will be on display on Wednesday April 27 and Thursday April 28 at the HW boutique on 5th ave from 10am-6pm both days. If you are interested in coming in to see it, send a note to RSVP@HarryWinston and let them know when you'll be there.? We promise you, you won't want
For those looking for a dress solar atomic watch, google Casio Lineage LIW M1000J. This is a direct copy of Casio's multi band Oceanus at 60% off the Oceanus price. Japanese vendors only but a great deal.
My latest effort with the Nikon 990. I used software only to add just a tiny bit of unsharp mask and remove dust specs. Everything else was the camera settings, distance from the camera to the watches, and distance of the lighting to the light tent.
Hi guys,I was hoping that someone could help me identify this vintage military style Hamilton CLD manual wind watch I have recently purchased for $100 US off eBay. It's a gift for my father and I was hoping to learn a little more about it before I gave it to him. I can't seem to find another model of Hamilton exactly like it, the seller has informed me it is 100% original and in working order; however, they can't tell me the series/movement number. The case is 30mm (without crown) and it's a stainless steel bubble back and it looks to have some type of crocodile watch band. I'm not expecting anything too spectacular because I only spent $100 but it would be nice to find out if it's even authentic. Hi all,I took delivery today of a 'Kermit' 50th anniversary sub, serial F778xxx which I think dates it 2004.I have tried on 2006 and 2007 pieces but then found one online that was 'old enough' for me.But the bracelet has an awful lot of 'play' in it; the links move a full mm laterally and more than that towards/away from each other. And the clasp moves and rattles even when closed. I have read about the Rolex rattle but the forum posts I found using the search function all referred to vintage pieces - 13 years isn't really vintage. Plus the 06 and 07 ones I've tried didn't have this issue (I tried both within the last week) and there's not a great difference between an 11 and a 13yr old bracelet.I don't know if this can be resolved? I've seen suggestions of having a watchmaker re-pin the bracelet. Yet other responses suggest the cause of this issue would be the hole in the link itself widening, which would suggest new pins is only a short-term fix. Replacing the whole bracelet is pres
