Omega 123.20.38.21.01.002 wrist watches news:
The VCXO Ox One is a bold new concept from a young Geneva-based brand which offers a rather unique bond between GPS technology and mechanical movements. While the accuracy of?GPS-set quartz watches is universally?acknowledged, most watch enthusiasts will agree mechanical watches tend to have more soul, thanks to their?"beating heart," when?the same can scarcely be said about electronic watches. With the Ox One, VCXO tries to achieve the best of both worlds by offering a watch with an automatic mechanical movement?equipped with a GPS module on top, allowing for the?synchronization of the time?with data received through GPS technology.?That sounds like some proper space-age technology, so let's discover how it works exactly.Serving as the?foundation of the watch is a TT-738?automatic movement from Swiss?Technotime SA, an independent?supplier that produces complete movements, movement modules and even balance springs. The movement runs at 4 Hertz (28,800 beats per hour) and packs a full 5
Hi this is one of my first topics and I am stumped big time. I got this watch in a bag of scrap watches I pick up from the flea market one weekend. I have found many like it on the google search but not this exact one. I have no idea what it's worth or even its name other than Longines Quartz. Here is the general info I've acquired. On the case back it says and only this Stainless steel back base metal bezel with the Longines icon. Inside the case back it has and I'll quote "Case 8086-l960 9317469". On the movement is a serial 55131164. It is a 5 jewels L960.2 that is it I'll put the rest in pics. Hope I can get some answers as I can't even find this on Google lol. I hope these iPhone photos will suffice as I don't have a good SLR yet but it's on my list lol. Thanks for any help. And I am loving this forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey folks,I'm an avid trench watch collector specifically of Dennison cased walthams (being from the UK this should come as no surprise) and I believe I've recently acquired something extraordinaryily special, but I wanted to run it passed you guys before I get too excited over nothing. If my knowledge is correct Dennison cased trench watches dating from 1913 are pretty rare, but I believe I have a dennison trench watch case dating to 1912!! It has a double hinged back and hinged front bezel that I've never seen before on a sterling silver dennison trench case before. It also seems to have the factory gold crown! As you can see the hallmark 'n' assayed in Birmingham dates the case to 1912. Anyway enough of me rambling, take a look for yourselves and let me know what you think. Then try and guess what I paid for it ;)Martin$_57-5.jpg$_57-9.jpg$_57-7.jpg$_57-6.jpgP.S better images to follow shortly
I read somewhere that if you send your vintage Omega to Bienne for a service they will return the watch with a report on date of build, sale date etc,is this true?if so, is it possible to get this info without sending the watch to Bienne,I have seen the Omega dates lists around but I beleive they could be out +/- a year or two,or are these date lists about as near as I'm likely to get to knowing the date of my watch? cheers
And this was the attachment.I¡¯m not bothered as I just want the watch. The stickers etc don¡¯t really bother me. But I know some of you guys they are really important. And discuss!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
