Doesn't Pita Barcelona sound like a hip new Middle Eastern and Spanish fusion cuisine restaurant? Sounds yummy. Actually it isn't even edible (darn, but good restaurant idea), but it is rather a spectacular watch brand. Today you'll hear about my favorite watch in their line, the Oceana Diver. This watch just has so much character I am overwhelmed with desire for it. Really.. let me tell you why you should like it too. Oh, and I don't think it has been officially released yet - they have been working on it for a while, getting it just right. The good news is that the watch is supposed to eventually be available in a host of materials and a few colors (highly customizable). Thus, someone could be having this watch in steel, another in a various shade of gold, and still another person might have a platinum Oceana. The watch will also be available in titanium. Interestingly enough the dial, hands, and strap are all customizable as well. There isn't a list of all the available options yet,

It's the little brother in the Rolex sports watch family, it was my first Rolex, and regularly it gets left out of the all the mega-Rolex hoopla that we so often see at auctions with rare versions of Daytonas, Subs, and GMT's bringing in big bucks.? Well, after three date rings in about 6 years, I've given up (at least in the short term) on my beloved integrated bracelet f300 Connie. I really love that watch, and while it worked it was fantasticthe look, the accuracy. It was my only metal bracelet watch! The date wheel breaks, the pieces get into the movement, and the whole watch stops workinglike now again It really seems to have been an unfortunate design. I've wondered if a date ring could be fabricated from more substantial material (aluminum?) and substituted My non-date Bulova 218 just keeps on going strong So I found a nice 751 integrated bracelet Connie today that seems to have the original finish and a nice dial, and this will be the successor. I prefer the dial without dates, but I really like the integrated design, and when traveling, it's great to know the day and date, so it has a purpose! My first Omega....what can I expect? I just ordered my first Omega; a 3570.50.00. I couldn't resist the price tag offered through AAFES (military exchange is an authorized dealer). (PM me if you want to know the everyday price they sell it for). I have lots of other mid to upper end watches but have never owned an Omega, so I would like to know from all the Omegamaniacs here (in my second home) what to expect!
