Beyond the highly-stylized entrance of Private Eyes lays what can be best described as an anachronistic incubator for vintage watch collecting. Need help finding a specific watch part II UPDATE with make and pic
Hello again...Thanks so much for the help so far. Well, I have a make on the watch I was asking about: Croton.As I said in my earlier post, I am trying to find an exact replacement for my father's watch that was stolen several years ago. My mom managed to find out what the make on it was. Now I need help finding the model and (hopefully!) someone to sell me one! Again, here's what I know:White faceNo numbers, just "hash" marksManual windPretty sure it was purchase somewhere between 1956 and 1958I'm PRETTY sure it didn't have a date function (could be wrong on this)Here's a picture of a watch that looks pretty similar:photo.jpgAlso very similar to the Croton "Wasp".Any ideas, suggestions, leads etc. would be greatly appreciated. I have still been unable to find the correct model on "rhymes with Shmeebay" or Google.Thanks again for all your help!
