I'm still in Poughkeepsie, but I've been in Manhattan for a few days. I thought I would say a few things about my impressions and show you the watch I bought.I would say that NYC is the friendliest city I've ever been in. It is the opposite of what many have said in the past. The city has certainly changed over the years. It used to be a vast porn, dope and violence sewer surrounded by some indigenous con artists and fruity performance art-ists on Broadway. Not now.I have heard more 'thank you-s' and 'have a good evening' and 'come back again' in the last three days then I have heard in three years in Seattle. The people here have manners and a great business sense. People greet you in elevators and bid you a good morning - something impossible in Seattle. The Pacific Northwest is a vast ice tundra compared to this. I thank and salute the people of New York for their kindness and class. Also, the food is so good it is worth going there for that alone. Hats off to Katz Deli for
I've been thinking of a watch I received in the mid 70's as a birthday gift, while visiting France, that was unfortunately stolen a couple of years later. I've been trying to find info on the web about Jaz watches (French brand) as the look of the watch has started to fade from my memory and needs a refresh. I read that they went out of the watch business and just make clocks. Does anyone have any info/links on Jaz watches from the '70s?
I have set the ROO safari as my target for next year haha. any of you own it and have any comment on it? i just love the cream dial along with the brown strap. what do you guys think? any other recommendations?
I have been giving this one some though lately. The LV aka Hulk, love this watch, but, I have also been thinking about the SD43. I don¡¯t have a black faced Rolex right now as I sold my DSSD last year. So, the fact I love the submariner, I still keep thinking about the LV. The only hold up for me right now is that have two subs currently, the 116619 (smurf) and the 116618LN black face. Neither of which I want to sell. So, is it ridoncilous to get another sub or just get the SD43. Help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
