Concord says the new C1 Big Date Radar is “endowed with a rugged look, a strong character and a distinctive personality.” They have a point. The dial presents an array of levels and textures with hour markers that float above the fray. The 3.3 mm-thick sapphire crystal is secured by a bezel that is is straddled by eight black rubber-clad protective tabs, anchored by side screws. The price and wallpaper-size images are inside.A double-window big date display and rotating small-seconds disc with triangle indicator combine with partially-skeletonized hands to display the relevant data. Generous amounts of Superluminova assure easy nighttime reading.Inside the 44mm x 12.95mm case, the COSC-certified automatic Caliber 3532 La Joux-Perret movement runs in 26 jewels for 44 hours at 28,800 vph. New for 2011, a new piece of the Armin Strom watches Swiss manufacturer is this simply named " Racing Chronograph ," to honor their sponsorship of the Marussia Virgin Racing F1 team. Armin Strom does not have the license to use the name of "F1" or the logo on the watch itself, but the style is enough of an indicator.
It's Friday, the day we traditionally show off our Hammies. But today is also 4/11. So let's add a little something today. What's the 411 on your watch? It can be anything. Tech specs. Why you bought it. Where you found it. I'll start with my Khaki Field Auto Chrono.I first saw a watch with the Valjoux 7750 about 15 years ago, a Breitling Chrono Avenger. Back then I didn't know a Valjoux from Jean Valjean. But I was impressed with the look and feel of that watch. Back then I didn't have the money for the Breitling. Today I have other things I want to spend the money on. When I really caught the watch bug I saw other watches with the 7750 and liked the look of the dial. After visiting this forum I learned more about Hamilton and discovered the Khaki line. IMO, Hamilton has made excellent use of the 7750 in their designs.
where can I buy this watch in USA? Is it available already ?
How well does the SD43 fit on a smaller wrist. It is at 43mm but the lugs are tapered to give it, shall I say smaller more proportioned fit?
