Blancpain has just released a unique piece that they will be contributing to the Only Watch auction coming up in November. This year they will be donating a special and unique version of the Villeret Traditional Chinese Calendar wristwatch. 1 OF 2 The watch was exclusively designed for the Only Watch auction. The Chinese Calendar complication, developed in-house, is a tribute to the age-old culture. The dial features the hours, minutes, and the Gregorian calendar alongside the Chinese calendar's major indicators. This includes the traditional double-hour indication, day, month (with leap months), signs of the zodiac, and the five elements and the 10 celestial stems. The combination of the celestial stems with the 12 animals of the zodiac that represent the terrestrial branches follows the 60-year cycle that is pivotal to the Chinese culture. Ladies watches
Why are ladies watches so cheap compared to the gents watches ?.Some of the detail in the smaller movements is amazing.This evening I purchased a lovely little 10k gold filled 1943 Elgin with a 547 movement, can't wait for it to arrive. I am sure the wife will love it. It was nice to research the Elgin online database and get some info before the purchase. I have already made 2 failed attempts to get an american watch and I hope I got it right this time, even if it is for the wife.

I Bought a new watch
A couple of years ago I had a second generation Gevril Sea Cloud. I used it as a tool watch but when I got a TT Sub I sent it on its way. I always missed that watch it just felt right on my wrist where the Sub always felt a little off. So I ditched the Sub and picked up a Yacht-Master to go along with my pepsi GMT II. That left me without a Tool watch/ beater so I went looking for another Gevril. I found a GMT Sea Cloud on auction on Shop**C and I won it. I am very excited about getting the watch so i can put the rolex's in my Gun safe and use my Gevril as everyday wear watch. Will post snaps when i get it.
