Newbie help, vintage Seamaster questions
I hope you guys can help me out here. I recently received a very old Seamaster from my mother who purchased it for my grandfather brand-new in the late 1940s. I have done a lot of looking around and have not found any information or pictures that match this particular watch. It has a cracked crystal and is definitely not in great shape and has not been touched in any way that I can tell. I did take it to a jeweler and he said that it appeared to be authentic. Unfortunately I don't know how to open it up (and probably shouldn't try) to take pictures of the inside. I am going to post a couple of pictures of it and I hope somebody can let me know something about the watch. Before I have any work done on it would be nice to know if it's authentic or not. Thank you all in advance.

So...I know it's random...but trade deepsea + pan 233 = AP 15400
Recently I visited Ap store in nyc and VC store tried AP 15400 & AP diver white. Also VC overseas chrono which they only had brown color. Actually new VC chrono is stunning. First time in person but quality was better then AP so got me thinking... what rolex forums say? If I trade in deepsea + pan 233 to ap 15400 or VC oversea chrono.
