OK everyone.......As most of you know, our leader-of-the-pack here on Watch Talk Forum, Mr. John Holbrook, is quite the photographer. If you've spent any time at all on WTF, you've probably noticed this.However, rising up fast & furiously behind him has been Diver88, Mister Terry himself. In fact, he's won most, if not all, of the recent photo contests he's entered & was the winner of the All Watch Talk Forum Photo Contest last year.So - who's the better photographer? Which one captures the watches we all love so dearly the best? Who's the King Emperor between the two? Well - what better way to find out than a Photo Challenge!!!!There are 5 categories in which both John & Terry submitted an entry for a head-to-head challenge. Where to buy IWC watches?
I am wanting to buy a new IWC but have found the styles limited at select retailers, or the ones who state to have them in stock, I am uneasy as to their reputation.Can I get some recommendations for online shops (yes I have checked out Watch u want, Exquisite).ThanksBrad

2nd Patek
First time poster here. Appreciate all the messages and wanted some advice. Currently own 5711 blue dial and really like the look of the new 5396G-014 but I had a question - my AD said he's probably getting one in the fall that he could hold for me but it doesn't seem like this is a limited edition and shouldn't be hard to get. Do you think it's wise to go for it or, if it's not limited edition, is it better to wait and get one later pre-owned at a significant discount?DG

Help! What would/did you do?
I've probably mentioned this in previous posts but I figured I'd put it out there and elicit some opinion and advice.I have a decent collection of Rolex watches. SS Daytonas, Subs, Pepsi GMT Etc. All watches are Pre-ceramic and none massively oversized. All worn but in very good condition.I now have two Pateks and will eventually get a Perpetual Calendar and maybe even an Annaul Calendar. Who knows when, but it will happen. After buying and wearing Patek, I no longer have much of an appetite for Rolex. A Patek is special. I dont know why, they just feel different. I'm not a buyer of hype, propaganda or slick advertising. I just really like them. Maybe I'm just getting old(er). So what do I do? I'm not a trader. I've never flipped anything. I look at my Rolex watches and I think they are great. Good tough watches that can take a lot of punishment. I seemed to have lucked out and acquired watches that pretty much keep perfect time. DSSD D-Blue v. SD43
I'm thinking about one of the two. Would not be worn with formal clothes, so fitting under the cuff doesn't matter. Worried the DSSD will be discontinued, SD43 loses red lettering. Can't afford both at the moment. I have a bigger but not huge wrist. I'm torn, lol.
