Omega Omega 44302 wrist watches news:
The new Perpetual Calendar ¨¦clipse by Jaquet Droz, available in two dial colors, showcases the brand’s distinctive moon-phase display. In this article from my blog, Watch-Insider, I list the attributes of this new timepiece, which is crafted in Jaquet Droz’s ancestral home of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The ¨¦clipse collection includes some of Jaquet Droz’s most elegant timepieces. (Click here to see my article about the Eclipse Mother-of-Pearl and Eclipse Ivory Enamel, introduced earlier this year.)This new model pairs the Jaquet Droz moon-phase complication ¡ª which displays the lunar cycles by means of a round index that passes over the moon, blocking part or all of it from sight ¡ª with a perpetual calendar. On the black or ivory-colored grand feu enamel dial, two straight hands contrast sharply with the curves of two wavy hands, each of the latter tipped with a crescent moon. The calendar information is easy to read on several places on the dial: on the right you
Somewhat of an open ended question, but why do you like Omega watches more so than others, what is destinctive about them? I have been seriously looking at a Railmaster, but only over the internet so far - have not had it in my hands or on my wrist yet. I have another automatic watch (O&W M4, ETA 2824 movement) that is my beater, and I love it - so much so that sometimes it is hard to remove it in the morning and put on a nicer watch for work. The Railmaster I am looking at would be for office/travel duty - I don't rotate watches much (only own a few), so this is a bigger decision as far as watches go, especially as these seem to run near $2K. Would appreciate your input. Thank you.
Has anyone seen in flesh the new automatic Velatura chronograph? Any firts impressions?
Hi folks, I am at a stage in my life when I am kind of getting close to finally get a Patek (late 30's). Looking to reduce the no of watches ans stick to 2-3 pieces that I will own on a long term.I have a Sub that is there to stay and the rest of the watches are subject to be put up for sale to fund the Patek or other watch.I am a big fan of the Nautilus but I cannot justify paying that much for it and the Calatrava makes a bit more sense as I ll always have a sports Rolex to compliment iting back to the 2 Patek models, I did a lot of reading and took a liking to the crown guards of the 5127. I tend to think it is one of the best buys. I also like the 5227 so I am considering it.SizeOf course we are looking at 37mm vs 39mm. I have no problem with 37mm as I am old school and still believe 35mm vintage pieces are great.Movement 315 vs 324Any pros and cons here?I look forward to hear other people's experience with these models. Pros and cons, versatility etc.some photos are always nice to
Hello all,I've decided to go for an Aquanaut. However I'm trying to decide between the elusive 5165 & the 5167. I know a good number of folks on this forum have the 5167 and swear by them, but hoping to get some comments from folks who have owned or at least seen a 5165, as I never have. My thoughts are as follows: I have a lean 7 wrist and prefer smaller watches, so I feel the 5165 could be the perfect size for me. I've tried the 5167, however, and I can say it felt too big. From an investment standpoint, I feel that the rarity of the 5165 and the fact that it had a short production run, and the fact that it has an integrated bracelet & the same quality dial as the 5167 might make it a winner in the long term. So, can anyone comment on whether the 5165 feels too small? Are the dials as vibrant and dynamic under different lighting as the 5167? Do 5165 owners love their watch, or do they wish they had the 5167? Do any 5167 owners feel their watch could be a bit smaller? Finally,
