New Book Traces Audemars Piguet History
Founded in 1875 in Le Brassus by watchmakers Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet, today the Manufacture Audemars Piguet employs almost 1,000 people in Switzerland and around the world. I was looking over old posts
and realized I never put up any photos of the dials I had referred to. Here they are as they were when I shipped them to Jesse. I'm excited to see how they look when I get them back. Both appear to have had moisture issues, but Jesse says they will/are clean nicely.The watch that belongs to the loose dial above is also getting the original hands cleaned up and put back on the watch. Omega made it look like new...too new for my taste.

Greetings Rolex Fans!I should have my hot little hands on the new Rolex Submariner 116613 some time next week, courtesy of Rolex USA. So look for a review next weekend.Until then, I thought I'd go through an update my review of the the Submariner 16613 (which the 116613 replaces). Bulova, Citizen and Seiko?
Why do most jewelry stores that I vist only carry Bulova Citizen and Seiko watches? I went into a mall with three stores on three corners directly across from each other. They were about 20 feet apart. They all carried the same brands.I really think that if people were given more variety maybe more would be interested in watches. It seems most people reconize these brands just because they are forced down the consumers throat.I want a Hamilton but want to see what I may buy first hand. AD 3-4 hours away. Same for any Brietling AD.Why?
