Well after acquiring my Rattrapante stopwatch I decided a new lanyard was needed. The lanyard that accompanied the piece is yellow rope, made in Germany. My neck would become sore after wearing it for a while and it did not really complete the "look". My motto, as my wife knows all too well, is "Everything Or Nothing". I needed something official from Omega. And thus the quest began for an Omega lanyard. I searched Google and Ebay and was about 3 weeks too late for a grey one on Ebay that read "2008 Beijing Olympics" and "Omega Official Timekeeper". It was nice, but I was not drooling over it. What I envisioned was a red lanyard with Omega and their logo in white. When I was posting on TZ I posted a request for information that would help me find one. A couple weeks later TZ member 'omegadude' sent me a PM offering me one he had. Of course my response was affirmative....and now I introduce to you, my 'Official Timekeeper':It was THE lanyard I was looking for and totally completes the s
Been thinking for a while now about taking the step up to an AP or a Patek. Royal Oak vs Nautilus. Have tried both on and while I always leant towards PP the AP 15400 with the black dial looks like it could be the winner. I tried the watch on for a second time today but again left without it. I have always been a Rolex only guy and still have a few doubts. I am used to strapping on my explorer 2 or a datejust and not worrying about it. I don't want to spend what is to me a huge sum on the AP and only wear it on special occasions. Is the Royal Oak robust enough to wear on a daily basis? Can I get it wet (swimming etc) AP say yes on their website but what have others found? Are the serving costs as bad as I have heard? Thanks.
I have an incoming on the truck for delivery today. As a hint, it is something Omega. I'm excited to give it some wrist time. Details to follow.
I think you need to be fast.Unfortunately you can't get one from your dealer anymore since they are discontinued. But on the secondhand market something is changing VERY fast. These is a site .watches.de, a well known dealer across Europe, probably in the rest of the world too because he really sells the high end and very hard to get stuff. He had 3 (THREE !!!) 5131 Patek 5131 in stock. And is it not the kind of dealer that advertises watches he does not haveAnyway …. look how fast it goes15 dec 2014 - .watches.de/en/products/se...aled-5131g-01030 jan 2015 - .watches.de/en/products/se...e-sealed-5131ganother 30 jan 2015 - .watches.de/en/products/se...old-5131j-29083 PP5131 sold in just 6 weeks !!!!These 3 watches were for sale since 6 months or so and suddenly they are all gone.Do more and more people know these are discontinued and has the hunt for the last pieces begun ?If Patek will not make an R or P …. I think you need to pull the trigger
