Piaget G0A34046 wrist watches news:
If there were a special Academy (or whomever) Award for most underappreciated watch brand, at least in the U.S., I am pretty sure that Girard-Perregaux would be on the list. At least on paper, they tick all the boxes – great in-house movements (that have been found, over the years, in one form or another, in a lot of other brands’ watches) and a fantastic history, as well as some very iconic designs. Part of the problem is that one of their most recognized, and recognizable, watches is very much at the high end: the Three Golden Bridges Tourbillon, and its variations; another part of the problem is that they’ve never really had a breakout, long-lived modern success that’s become ubiquitous in the same way as, say, the Submariner, or the Tudor Black Bay, or the Royal Oak. And yet, they do have a watch in their history that could very easily become that watch for the brand: the Laureato, which they've relaunched this year, in near-exact reproduction of the fir
Hi, I'm new to these forums and have come here to get some advice about a vintage omega geneve wrist watch that has been passed down to me. Its pretty old and i was thinking about having it made to look "new" I recently went to a watch repair shop and they said it would be about 750$ Canadian dollars for this. I believe it was made in 69' so its almost an antique, should i fix it up or leave it as is?its all stainless steel and the band can flex just like a baseball cap so there is no clasp and its in sorta rough shape, the face is a bit dirty, some specs of i don't know what are in there under the glass/crystal.Please reply with advice, Thanks.See attached files for pictures
Dear all,I'm now going to pull the trigger for one of the following Omega watches, and need your suggestion seriously, Thanks!1.) Speedmaster - FOIS, Steel on leather strap, 39.7mm, Calibre 1861.2.) Speedmaster - Moonwatch, Steel on leather strap, 42mm, Calibre 1863.
Just bought a speedmaster 3750.50 moon watch on eBay from sabashioyakiz1. He seems to have a great track record. I'm very excited to receive the watch. My question is I am looking for a leather strap for the speedmaster. Is the lug size 20mm? I found a Hirsch strap on eBay that I am trying to verify if it would fit. Thank in advance for your responses.cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...RK:MESINDXX:IT
So wanted to just pose a general question out there. How easy is it for someone coming from the US to purchase a Rolex from the UK. I am obviously trying to get a better price on the watch and get back the VAT. I have heard that AD's in the UK are starting to get peeved about this practice and reluctant to do so??And same question with regards to getting your name on a waitlist for a Batman or Hulk. Can someone from the US do so in the UK?
