Omega 231.20.42.21.08.001 wrist watches news:
Did you know that Hamilton originally and for most of it history in America used gold in its cases. Some were 18K, others were 14k, or 10k filled.Color choices also existed from 14k gold, pink or rose, white, and green. Green gold is like regular 14K except it has a slightly greener cast. Today, green gold might be a term used for recycled gold.
I am greeting this Monday with the A-506 since it came up in another thread. On this one, the linen textured dial has turned a bit yellow. Can the textured dials be cleaned like any other?
Hey guys,Have you seen the new Orient 200M diver? It looks better then the Mako to me, but then again I am biased towards larger watches. I dont have any photos of it but Thomas blogged it at Yeoman's;yeomanseiko.spaces.live/b...633!3003.entryCheers!
Okay guys and gals, here's my question: I really, really, really want a mechanical watch. (Auto or hand wind). What I really want is an IWC, but like that vintage Italian sports car I dream of owning I have owned one high-priced automatic watch, an Omega Speedmaster Automatic that I bought in 1992. I paid around two thousand for the watch, and it was such a huge piece of crap that I sold it in 1996 for six hundred, just glad to get rid of the **** thing! It never kept decent time (gaining of losing up to 8 minutes a day, the pushers for the chronograph functions fell off on a regular basis, and every time I would push the chrono, the watch would jump ahead two minutes. It went back to Lancaster 2 times, went to a local watchmaker 4 times, and even went back to Switzerland, where they supposedly put in a whole new movement. Two days after I got it back, the pusher fell off at the kitchen table! So, if any f you are thinking of recommending an Omega, please don't! I would
So i own a ROO rubberclad in SS, its the last model with the updated dial and its pretty immaculate. Problem is i haven't worn it for ages, i seem to have just out grown it and feel that it only goes with sporty attire. Although its definitely a looker, its a shame that it gets absolutely zero wrist time.I have the itch to trade it for a Royal Oak chrono on bracelet. I think that it goes with wearing anything in all situations. I like the 39mm as the 41mm sub dial positions (the new larger gap either side) haven't grown on me yet. What are your thoughts? should i trade? has anyone done the same? should i just keep it, save and buy the ROC?
