Omega ST 1980001 wrist watches news:
If you've owned a Planet Ocean for a few years or more, your experience would be helpful to me in making a near-term purchase decision. My current daily wear watch is a recent model Submariner Date. I wear it almost constantly, whether I'm in the office, swimming at the beach, doing light wood chopping when I camp, or rough-housing w/ my 9-year-old and his buddies. I'm not necessarily looking for an "Omega versus Rolex" debate here, but, rather, simply wanted to share my frame of reference in terms of a not inexpensive watch that I view as completely durable and don't want to feel I have to baby. Now I'm considering the purchase of a new Planet Ocean which would alternate or maybe even replace this watch as my primary wear piece. But I don't want to feel like I have to be any more gentle with it. I don't want to worry about the watch stopping or the bracelet coming undone. I know about the outside A/R, so I've already accepted that issue (altho I'd be happy to hear stories about that a
Okay guys and gals, here's my question: I really, really, really want a mechanical watch. (Auto or hand wind). What I really want is an IWC, but like that vintage Italian sports car I dream of owning I have owned one high-priced automatic watch, an Omega Speedmaster Automatic that I bought in 1992. I paid around two thousand for the watch, and it was such a huge piece of crap that I sold it in 1996 for six hundred, just glad to get rid of the **** thing! It never kept decent time (gaining of losing up to 8 minutes a day, the pushers for the chronograph functions fell off on a regular basis, and every time I would push the chrono, the watch would jump ahead two minutes. It went back to Lancaster 2 times, went to a local watchmaker 4 times, and even went back to Switzerland, where they supposedly put in a whole new movement. Two days after I got it back, the pusher fell off at the kitchen table! So, if any f you are thinking of recommending an Omega, please don't! I would
An impromptu lunch turned into a full on GTG. All brands were welcome, but it was mainly the Vancouver Paneristi crowd and the owner of the local and only Panerai dealer. well, im seriously on the fence on which watch to get right now. im really into the po 8500 on bracelet with grey bezel and 3 orange markers....or a breitling super avenger. i know i know, they are 2 diff. watches. but both really close in price and offer different things. i have wanted the SA for a long time but just when im ready to purchase.the new 8500 comes out..... lol. anyway, how do you like the po's?
