Omega 2218.50.00 wrist watches news:
Hey guys,I know I've already posted this in the general discussion but I think that this is a better place to put this. Does anyone know what model/any more details about this watch? It's an Omega-Tissot from the mid-1930's (serial number 627 387) but that's all I know.omegatissotrectangle.jpgAlso if anyone could provide a rough valuation if it was fully restored that would be great. Thanks,Sean
A few weeks ago I was hit by the Stargate bug. What I mean is that I started to like the Seiko Stargate to the point that I wanted to have one. This escalated to me wanting more then just one.I found a used one with the black dial on the forum and bought it, a couple of days later I traded one of my watches for the PVD one. Later on I sold a few spare parts and bought the white dialed one. As I mentioned in my earlier post about the PVD one, I like the case of the watch, the shape and the size. I was hoping that it was like the Sumo but, while it is similar, it is also a little smaller and slimmer. But it has 22 mm drilled through lugs and a slightly domed crystal. I like the overall look but if I had been the designer I would have done a few things differently. One of the things that I would have changed is the hands. I like the shape actually but I find that, because the hour markers are chrome framed the hands should have been chrome framed too. At least that's my opinion.
Seems strange for Rolex to offer the Pepsi in both metals. I get the different dials and braclet but this seems odd to me. Thoughts?
Why is it almost impossible to find a 17013 i excellent condition with box, books, papers and hang tags? Also, didn't the 17013 and 19018 come with the same red chronometer tags as the automatic DJ's and DD's?
At my local Rolex AD who is also a Tag Heuer AD and left with this....
