Sponsored PostThe catalogue for Fellows¡¯ 15th April Vintage & Modern Wrist Watches Auction is now available to view online, presenting the usual eclectic mix of watches with something for every budget. That said; collectors looking for something special not will be disappointed. Below we highlight one contemporary watch for men, one for ladies and a vintage gem.The association of watch brands with motorsport can have a numbers of driving factors (if you pardon the pun). This may be a historical connection where drivers have used the company¡¯s product as tools of the trade or it may me a more blatant attempt to push brand profile, with any connection having its origin in the marketing department¡¯s imagination rather than in the pit lane or on a driver¡¯s wrist. I have a Longines L4.708.4 automatic watch, but found that every couple of months I'd wake up and the time is out by 20 - 40 minutes from the real time. This happens because the watch stops. Now usually I'd guess it is because it is not getting enough movement in the night, but surely a day's activities will wind it up enough to last the night? I am not an overly active person in the work week, I work on computers, so not sure if that contributes to the problem.Secondly, I have read elsewhere that even automatic watches need to be manually wound from time to time. My instruction manual does not cover my specific model, so I could not get clarity on the matter. So two questions:1) Does my watch support manual winding?2) Do I need to manually wind it and how often? Lastly, is my watch functioning correctly by sometimes halting like this? This is my first mechanical watch so I am new to this.
I was watching a video on ESPN today and noticed Paul Pierce wearing an AP. Does anyone know which model this is? .espn/nba/story/_/id/2...heir-grip-east
I just purchased Seamaster Pro Titanium 2231.50 automatic on Ebay.Overall solid condition. I'd like to tune it up - remove abrasions and hairline scratches on the band/clasp. Also I need one more link. Ideas on how to polish the band up without damaging it and where to buy links? Otherwise the sapphire and case are mint.
