As a virtual pariah in the forum, I'm looking for some advice
I like Vintage Ladies Hamilton's, and from lurking for a couple of weeks I have picked up on the general lack of interest in the forum...understandably as the contributors seem to 95% maleHowever, whilst there are days when I am not a lady, I am female. I bought a Hamilton Trudy a couple of months back, and got badly hooked and now have 5 Hamilton's. I really like the mens watches too, and am keen on collecting, as most of the pre-electrics are a perfectly OK size to wear.Oh, and I live in New Zealand, so about as far from the source as it is possible to get, but thanks to ebay/paypal/USPS and Fedex, it really doesn't matter too much.There are a surprising number of Hamilton's in NZ, due to the number of US servicemen based here during the war, and visiting post-war. AP Diver Woes and Wear?
Hey all, new to the forum but have been lurking for a while. Anyways I am planning to add a diver to my collection and have been weighing a couple of options: the Blancpain Bathyscaphe Chronograph in ceramic, the Hulk Submariner, and the AP Diver in SS. After trying all of them on, I prefer the AP, but have heard bad things about wear and tear on the bezel/scratches on the case. I'd like to see any pics AP diver owners may have showing wear on the steel if possible just to see what everyone is talking about.Also, how does the AP diver compare as a daily wear to a Sub-C?Thanks in advance!

Panda strap to bracelet change NOT possible ???
I went into my AD this aft. to swap out the strap from my Panda to an OEM bracelet for the summer. Now I have never had this bracelet on the Panda but have switched in on and off my diver several times when I had it. After waiting for 30 minutes the AD service tech comes in and to my surprise tells me that he cannot get the bracelet to attach. He removed the plots and the strap and the bracelet seems to be a perfect fit (its OEM) into the plot openings but when he goes to put the screws in they dont fit and do not seem to go all the way through to the plots in order to secure the them.Am I missing something ? Are there different screws needed for this ? Why would the bracelet easily attach to the AP diver and not a Panda....same case, same size? Please help TIA !

Hello,There are some models that are very popular, eg PN Daytona, Bond Rolex etc.... These are also very expensive.But I am curious about which models seasoned Rolex buyers think are good buys now. I suppose there are two ways of answering this¡ªone with an eye to future appreciation, and the other just considering quality of the timepiece relative to money paid. Both would be interesting, but I am most untested in the latter, as the former is purely speculative. It seems to me that some Datejust models represent great values. I especially like ones with Buckley or Vignette dials. Anyway, what do you think?
