Omega 222.63.42.20.01.001 wrist watches news:
The last major Bell & Ross watch that we haven't covered yet for 2012 is the WW1 and PW1 Argentium collection. I believe Bell & Ross CEO Mr. Carlos Rosillo himself was wearing a WW1 Argentium watch when I checked out this collection among other Bell & Ross pieces. For me, this is one of the most curious models. While not limited in production, it is a very niche timepiece. It will no doubt be selectively produced and offered in limited locations. A very interesting watch that is still very much a Bell & Ross. What is Argentium you ask? It is a trademarked name for a special modern version of sterling silver. The name comes from "argent" which among other things, is the French term for silver. Argentium is a relatively recent version of sterling silver from the 1990s. Its most notable property is being highly tarnish resistant. Traditional silver tarnishes and must be polished frequently. For this reason I believe silver is quite rarely used for watch cases. Argentium tho
Does anyone have info or knowledge of pocket watches marked "Wallace & Simmons" of Providence.RI ? Both the face and movement carry the same names. Any help is appreciated.

I have an Omega Constellation that I wish to send off to Jesse (Omega564) to get him to service and clean up for me, sounds simple.well not so if you live in Ireland. For the past few weeks I have been in a battle with the postal service in Ireland, first problem they refuse to insure my watch for me in the mail, they have a policy of no jewellery/cash can be insured I tried a few other methods to get the watch to Jesse, anyone travelling to the states and then maybe post it locally..not possible as people not prepared to carry someone else's sealed parcel. Understandable but annoying.Today I got really peeved with making so many phonecalls trying to sort it out that I decided to just post it and not care about insurance, just let my Connie run loose in the world and be at the mercy of the vultures that steal from the mail. So off to the post office and when asked what was in my package, I explained a vintage watch for repair. I was told that I may be liable for customs duty on return i
I know we always hear about great customer service from AP and their service centers and I just wanted to share another example. On March 2nd I sent my Plat 44mm offshore and my wife's Lady RO to APSC Clearwater for the pressure test and to activate the 3rd year warranty. They called me as soon as they received the watch and told me they would notify me by email once they were able to fully check the watches. A week later they called and sent an email notifying me that the 44mm offshore was magnetized and the Lady RO was not keeping proper time so they were going to do a full movement service and extend the warranty another 2 years on both watches. It’s nice to know that when you send your watches to AP they do a full function and timing test and not just a pressure test. Got my 44mm back Thursday of last week in time for the 3 day weekend and the Lady RO is due back next week. 1 month turnaround time for a full service and extending the warranty 2 more years (for a total of
