Omega 3510.5000 wrist watches news:
I can't believe some people I was at an estate auction today, my main prize was a solid 18k gold Omega CONSTELLATION if I'm correct. Well, safe to say I didn't get it because I'm fuming right now.Not because I lost, but because of what happened afterwords. The guy who won it paid 3K for it (My max was 2 to be safe), after winning it I heard him say"Yeah, it's a neat old watch. Only good for scrap though."Only good for scrapOnly good for scrapOnly good for scrapNOOOOOOOOOOO And it wasn't that bad, the dial was slightly patina-ed but still strong, it didn't have a band but looked to be barely worn as there was little wear on the lugs, it ran strong and seemed to work just fine.I hope he reconsidered It was a beautiful watch
Ever have one of THOSE days!? Over the weekend a fairly well know watch auction took place, including a rather nice Coronado that had caught my eye about a week earlier. At about the same time, a watch friend of mine told me (and a few others who shall remain nameless unless they choose to acknowledge so) that he was looking to acquire a nice white Coronado for his personal collection. I told this friend of his luck with the impending auction, and he asked me to do him a favor and bid as he would not be in a location/situation that would easily allow him to do so. (I've known him for many years, and I have bid (and won) for him a few other times, so I was glad to help.) After a few emails with the auction house (I was interested in a few lots), I emailed the auction house's owner last Wednesday and was told that the safest way to bid was on their on-line site before noon Friday. I put in a bid for $2150 (per my friend's request) on their on-line site before noon as required. (Act
After a rather lengthy wait, the black/red horned back finally arrived and here it is, on the watch! I have several straps for my Trulli i/c grey horned back and cognac gator but I think this strap looks best.
Im looking to buy an f series and found one that i like, it comes with the new style box instead of the wooden inside with brown suede. Its a 2004, the majority of watches i see of this year have the older box. Which should i be getting and shpuld i be concerned if its the newer style?
Just picked up a skydweller and thought some of you might find this an interesting comparison.RJ
