Omega 153015 wrist watches news:
When you think of Swatch, you think of plastic fashion watches, first and foremost. And if you're a WIS ¨C or if you read our History of the Swatch Group?¨C you maybe think of the company that helped save the Swiss watch industry. But do you think lifestyle? Do you think of mountains and skiing? Does sun and surf occur to you? Bronzed athletic bodies performing amazing stunts while attached to boards sliding over water, frozen or liquid?I spent a few days in southern California to find out what #swatchlife was all about.Surfing, as you may know, is a lifestyle sport. And it's an international sport like few others. Formula 1, golf, tennis ¨C and a few others qualify. Unfortunately, they don't take place in the gorgeous surroundings surfing does. Warm weather, green water, white sand, bikini-clad women. Yeah, surfing kinda scratches the itch. And so it was that I found myself on San Onofre State Beach near San Clemente. The ASP Women's Pro Tour joined the Men at the fabled surf spot known as
I've been hearing the last year or so that Rolex now has their own in-house manufactured shock protection and no longer uses Kif. I believe the Rolex system is called Paraflex. There is some speculation that Rolex actually bought Kif - can anyone confirm or deny?
I ordered one of the newest straps from Crown & Buckle, the Windsor, as I thought it would be a great complement to my Magrette Regattare Bronze. It's an extremely nice looking two-tone strap made of soft, supple leather and comes supplied with a brushed Pre-v buckle. To match the Regattare I replaced the buckle with a bronze buckle I had on hand. This was an easy task as the C & B buckle is affixed with a spring bar. I think the marriage of this strap to this watch is a great improvement over the original black strap supplied by Magrette, and provides the finishing touch needed. As always, the reasonable price of the product, and excellent customer service by Crown & Buckle is greatly appreciated.Enjoy the pictures.
So, I was doing some driving today and passed by an antique store. Of course, on the way back from my task I just had to stop in there. I was looking for 2 things; Vintage drums and watches. Within a few minutes I found a basket of quartz watches. Nothing too bad, but nothing spectacular. But then.....But then I came across a 3-tiered shelf of nothing but vintage watches! Bulova, Gruen, Caravelle, Hamilton, Benrus, etc...The list goes on. I thought my brain was gonna explode. Then it turns out there was only 2 people working in the entire place, and one of them was the owner of that booth......A very nice retired gentleman who showed me another display case full of watches of his. We talked shop for a few minutes before I had to leave. They are open this Friday, which I have off, but the wife and I are going. Too bad I'm broke, but I'm still looking forward to it. The retired gentleman says he's been doing watch collecting since the 60's and was eager to just talk watches. He'll be the
