A service success story! But, this one doesn't involve a RSC. Some of you may recall that I recently purchased this for my Dad After taking delivery of that one, we elected to get his first Rolex, a 12-year old (bought new) 15210 SS Date with a silver dial, serviced for the first time. It was losing about 5-7 minutes per month, so it was sorely needed. Dad, not being a WIS, wasn't bothered much and just reset the time every month. The 15210 was, and remains, my Dad's "daily driver." The President is only for special occasions. Anyway, it came back from service at a local Rolex AD with a talented in-house watchmaker. Several parts were replaced, including the mainspring, the crown tube, and the crown. There were some rotor parts replaced too, but I can't recall which ones. Anyway, the movement is very smooth when setting the time, and it has been keeping time well (for a change) It was costly, but the turnaround was just over 2 weeks, and the AD gave my Dad an Ebel Loaner Aut
Do you prefer buying your Hamilton from an AD or not and why?
