Movado Ferrari Watches
I was sort of under the impression that Hublot had the corner on this market, but whatever. Movado just announced that it signed a multi-year agreement with Ferrari?to make watches with the Ferrari and Scuderia names, as well as use the brand logos. How this ties into Hublot's assumed exclusive agreement is unclear to me. My theory is that Hublot has claim on all higher-end Ferrari watches, while the Movado deal is for more entry-level luxury watches. According to the announcement the Movado Ferrari watches will only cost up to 1,500 Euros. Set to arrive in 2013, the Ferrari collection of watches from Movado will take a lot of forms, the least of which will be this Movado Museum watch with a prancing pony in lieu of the sun.UPDATE: So Hublot was kind enough to clear some of the confusion around what seems to be competing contract agreements with Ferrari and watch makers. So I'm considering buying this preowned bracelet for my 42mm Offshore. Local cash deal. Seller is willing to meet at the AD so they can have a look at it also, but I think i trust you guys more than a sales rep at an AD.So condition is supposed to be 99%. Anything jump out at you guys as a red flag? Any obvious authenticity issues?Thanks in advance! Your advice is much appreciated.

Omega Speedmaster: underwhelmed
I've been eyeing an omega speedmaster as a potential addition to the collection and was able to try on the mechanical 42mm and automatic 44mm versions this past weekend. Both on black leather omega straps. They wore quite well, despite the larger mm size (I wear a GMT 16710 and sub LVc), but honestly they didn't really do much for me. I was a bit disappointed, given the speedmaster's iconic status. Not sure what exactly was missing. Anyone else have that reaction to a speedmaster or omega?The search continues!Thanks.

Archive Papers & Original Certificate
Recently, I was given an excellent opportunity to buy a one year old 5227R at a great price.But to do that I would have to sell my newly (to me) purchased 5127R.So I sent out the usual enquires to some grey dealers, providing them with all the relevant details, including the fact that the watch came with archives but not original certificate.Each one of them asked me to clarify whether the original certificate was included as without them it would effect the price.Now, I would not normally buy a Patek without any papers, and so I am happy whether it comes complete with original certificate or archives. As both, imo, show that the watch has been checked by Patek and that it's correct & not stolen.What are your thoughts on the subject?Would buying a Patek with only the archive papers, put you off buying?What, in your opinion, would the reduction of price be without certificate but with archives?
