Please help a newbie identify this watch...
This was my fathers Longines watch. My mother gave it to him when they got married about 50 years ago. It is one of 2 watches that I have that were his. I know that the crystal is not original and I don't think this is the bracelet that was on it originally. Can you help me to identify this watch and find an approximate value? What type of bracelet or band would it have most likely had originally? I would never be interested in selling this watch as the sentimental value would far outweigh the monetary value but I would be interested in it's value. Can you recommend a good, reputable facility to have clean the movement? It is a manual winder and runs great. Questions about a Clebar electronic gold watch, Swiss made.
HelloI've found a Clebar electronic gold watch, Swiss made.I've done a small scratch near the hole, and as you can see on the photo, it still gold in the scratch.Is it solid gold, how much karat it could be ?The electonic are kind of hybrid type, it's partly mechanical with a very small electro-magnet to move the balance wheel. AP RO or ROO Novelty
Hi all,I am new here and this is my first post. I am a proud owner of a Rolex GMT 2 Black Dial which is the only watch that I have. I feel that it is now time to add another watch into my collection and I pick AP to be my next watch.I am really attracted to the AP ROO Novelty Ceramic however my only reservation is its size and my relatively small wrist size (6.3 inches), I wonder if any of you have pictures of the watch on small wrist? Looking forward to hearing from you all!

This is an observation, not a knock. I have been wearing Panerai for about 3-4years. First the 88, now the 422. Before that, Rolex only for a long time. Mostly sport models in SS. Long story short, the Rolex I miss the most and still admire greatly is the GMTIIC in SS. Mine kept crazy accurate time and I think it's the most striking and beautiful piece in the current Rolex SS line-up. A real gem.I have been wrestling with re-acquiring the GMTIIC. I visited my local AD yesterday, took off my 422 and tried it on. It is still beautiful, the craftsmanship remains world class, the bezel shines and the hint of green is perfect. But, it looked soooo small. I could not believe it. I'm 6' tall with nearly an 8 wrist. I had never before felt that a Rolex looked small on me but this damn thing looked puny. I left the AD feeling kind of down like one who left home never to return. Again, not a knock nor a commentary on craftsmanship, value, trendiness, etc., and I remain one who loves and respect
