Oris 583 7524 41 61 RS wrist watches news:
A couple of years ago, we did a guide for dress watches under $1k. Looking at it now, I feel it's time to do another one, with some different options. The watches mentioned there are still valid, but we've seen plenty of watches since then that make the cut too. That said, true dress watches are not really that common, nor really that needed. Rather, watches that are good for work and the occasional formal setting, but could probably be worn whenever and wherever, made the list. So, if you're looking for an alternative to you divers, pilots and tool watches, here are a few good options.Orient Bambino $182?We just reviewed this one last week; between the price and the style it's a sure fire winner. Rose gold markers, pearlescent dial, and an insane domed crystal come together for a design that feels vintage, but doesn't look derivative. If you're on a budget, it's also just one of the best buys out there, with a Japanese made automatic movement and a price tag of $182. But, you don't ha
I don't want to offend anyone but to me, Rolex watches have always seemed greatly overpriced and over valued. I mean, is a $5,000 Rolex really 10 times better than a $500 model from another another maker of quality watches or 20 times better than a $250 one? When I say better, I mean in terms of accuracy, reliability, and endurance. I highly doubt it. Personally, I would never pay more than $200 these days for a new watch and that would be really stretching the budget. $100 would probably be as high as I would go when I can get a reliable and highly accurate quartz model for $25 to $50 that would last for years. On antique or Vintage models, it's a different story of course. I'm talking about new.
Sorry it's taken me a couple days to post this, I've been extremely busy, but I received my Ball Watch Company coffee mug. I just wanted to thank you guys for conducting the contest, and Brandon, thanks for getting me the winning prize shipped to me so soon. I really appreciate it!
Hello everyone,Even though the watches from the Panerai family are the once that benefit the most out of the spa restoration treatments, every once in a while other beauties come along to get their shine back like this BELL & ROSS 03-92.I will not get you bored by going on and on and would rather let you go ahead and see what the watch went through and then show you some pictures...1. The watch was fully disassembled to its basic components 2. After disassembling the watch, all the scratches, dings, dents, and wear marks were removed 3. The watch was reblasted with a 3 stage procedure where 3 diferent type of blasting media was used in order to restore the watch original matte finish 4. A pencil lead DLC coating application was the next step 5. The whole "thing" was put together and the the watch was regulated 6. A pressure testing test was performed in order to positively confirm the water resistance of the watch. I hope you'll enjoy the pics that are to follow...
I finally have a chance to get the Nautilus. My grey dealer has both the blue and white dials. The blue, however, has no box and papers while the white is BNIB. They are asking for USD38K for the white and USD36K for the blue. I am leaning towards the white for obvious reasons. I wouldn't consider paying this much amount of hard earned cash for a watch without papers. I've looked on chrono24 and it seems the white Nautilus ranges from as low as 32 to 40 thousand US dollars. Do you guys think this is a fair price? I live in China and I seldom get an opportunity like this. Your wisdom and advice would be highly appreciated. Here are some photos of the watch in question.
