- This is a stunning timepiece that has the most beautiful palette of colors and goes with many of my Heidi Daus pieces. The icing on the cake was getting it at the reduced price. It would have been a bargain at the original price. Thanks Heidi!!

Panerai FER 00011 wrist watches news:
Hi there.I'm looking for a watch that is discreet enough to be worn with evening wear. I've narrowed it to two brands that have ADs and service centers in my area. I saw the De Ville Prestige - steel, black dial, black leather strap - and it looks great for the task, but I don't know anyone who owns one. Am also looking at the IWC Portofino. Have never owned an IWC before and only two of my friends have IWCs but these are MkIV pilot's watches from circa 2000 I think. Still have to visit the AD to get a price on the IWC.Would really appreciate any comments on these two watches. The job will require me to attend more evening events in the next few months and the crowd I encounter is a bit conservative when it comes to deportment. That they sign my paychecks doesn't easy my tensions much either...Thanks!
Yesterday, FedEx deliver a box at 8pm. It's the most beautiful mahogany I've ever seen, with a perfect glossy finish that brings out every bit of beauty and elegance of the wood. Even the packaging is amazing, they used some high-tech plastic wrap protector that hold the winder in mid-air inside the box so it doesn't get bang around.I took out the Module out from the wooden case. Now, I don't know which is the correct way to insert it back in? Is the On and Off switch positioned at the top left or top right side when the wooden case is standing on it's feet? Or does it matter? And my 2nd part of the question, can you remove the "complete cup" out from the module on the Casetta?Nix
Reading an article about old luminescent watches and thought some might be interested....some quotes from the article.....At that time, at least in the US, radioluminescent paint saw little application...in Europe, especially Switzerland, things were different"there were so many radium painters that it was common to recognize them on the streets because of the glow around them: their hair sparkled almost like a halo."April 1920 Issue of Scientific American noted that more than 4,000,000 watches and clocks......produced using radium-containing...paint. original practice of using the mouth to put a point on a brush...The paint so wiped off the brush was swallowed."....tipping the brushes was not something the dial painters just decided to do. in some plants they were actually trained how to do it. This article is very interesting and scary what workers and the general public were exposed to regarding radioactive materialsany way if interested here is the link- Radioluminescent PaintRadio
I have a tactical day ahead of myself so I have selected the Sinn 857 for day and night detail. WRUWT (what are you wearing today):
Howdy,I have been struggling with my next watch decision severely over the last few months and have decided to enlist the overwhelming expertise of this forum. In order to commemorate a milestone in my life I have given myself a budget of $35k or so to get myself a watch (or watches). I currently own a 16710 Pepsi, an IWC Portuguese, and a Speedy - this new addition would clearly be a large step up for my collection. I think I have narrowed it down to two options:1. F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu and a Seadweller 50th anniversary 126600 This is the combination I thought I would be getting as I had been set on the CB for a while; I think the tantalum combined with the almost magical blue dial is really something special. Add on FPJ's storied watchmaking history and the rarity of his pieces and I thought I had a winner. The Seadweller I have never tried on in the flesh (hard to find!) but have always wanted a little more beefy version of my GMT - especially one in ceramic. The red lettering
