Panerai FER00005 wrist watches news:
Please enjoy the original article below by established watch writer Meehna Goldsmith. From magazines to the freer writing form of the web, she is a knowledgeable watch junkie who knows high-end pieces.? She contributes to publications such as Robb Report, International Watch, Watch Journal and Pink Magazine. You can visit her on her website meehnagoldsmithwatches-dealer. I first wrote about the Jellyfish line from Nubeo here, with some hands-on images.IĄŻm pretty picky when it comes to womenĄŻs watches. Nine times out of ten, I prefer the menĄŻs models over the ladies, because ladies watches are usually menĄŻs watches dressed up in opulent drag and placed in a smaller case size. I also donĄŻt like a lot of jewels on my watches (in my watches is A-okay). When I saw the Nubeo line of womenĄŻs timepieces, which includes some major sparklies, I had to backtrack immediately. I got a rush like I was a kid on a playground whisking down a slide. Wheee!!! I was in major covet mode and couldnĄŻt wait
Hey!I inherited my step fathers Seiko when he passed from a Brain tumor a few years ago.As he went through Chemo and got more clumsy it kind of took a beating. Then I got it, and spared it no less. Then the bracelet broke and it's been sitting on my shelf.I'd like to get it repaired as the band is broken, the chrono buttons are stuck, the battery is dead, and the crystal scratched.I have no idea what model it is, how much it cost, or whether it would cost more to repair than replace (although I guess it really isn't replaceable). But I would like to get it in wearable shape and work it into my watch rotation. Here are some pics of the watch. I think the macro setting on the camera makes the scratches on the crystal look worse than they really are, although one or two will snag a finger nail.If you can identify this watch and recommend a quality repair facility I would appreciate it!Thanks!-BDHershey
I didn't know about this particular Speedmaster model until I stopped into a local AD today. Only 69 were produced and I was lucky enough to try one on. Truth is, I asked to take a picture of it in it's locked display case and the associate said Why don't you take a picture of it on your wrist instead! It's made of platinum and has a great heft to it. You definitely feel the weight when it's on the wrist. At 42mm it fit well on my 7.25 wrist. It has a sapphire crystal and 1861 movement. There is an anniversary marker on the sub-dial as well as on the caseback. The bracelet is updated with screws and feels very comfortable. It comes with a gorgeous, individually numbered display case and anniversary coin (sorry no pics of it since I forgot about those once the Speedmaster was on my wrist). The watch has a MSRP of $135,000. Found this pic online of the complete set...
Any 5164a owners here? Am considering one, and wondering what the general thoughts are about this watch. It will be my first Aquanaut (have had a YG 2526 and 5980/1a) in the past.
