Is this haute watchwindery? Watch winders are something that many people just do not even think about very much. Sure, you might poke around at some of the more inexpensive models when you pick up a couple of automatic watches, but that is generally where the interest stops. Jumping feet first into the luxury end of watch winders is the Ambrelus Dreadnought.Now, at first glance, I knew this was a watch winder unlike any I had seen before. While many higher-end winders want to tuck things behind a polished veneer of wood and glass, the Ambrelus Dreadnought instead celebrates a very mechanical aesthetic. As an engineer who helps put together high volume assembly and test installations I am all too familiar with the phrase Average Time To Intervention (ATTI). Simply put, this is how long a piece of equipment can run until operator intervention is required and is a great way of cutting costs if this can be made as long as possible. I also appreciate the initial elevated costs in trying to achieve this important project aspiration. Therefore, I have always been interested in the complications offered on mechanical watches by some high end brands that allow extended time to user intervention with respect to the date function.Usually a date display on a mechanical timepiece requires altering for the months that do not have 31 days. This is because the date wheel, within the watch, has 31 numbers on it and is mechanically ¡°programmed¡± to incrementally jump at around midnight every night. Hello AllNow that I've had the pleasure of owning and wearing my AP Panda I'm already shopping for number two. So that brings me to my next question. I'm thinking of going with the 15300 but wanted some feedback on the dial color and preference from the AP public. Do you prefer white, blue or black. Pics always welcome. Thanks in advance.

New 372 Friday - Hallelujah!
Today was a great day my friends and I just wanted to share a few pics with you fellas. After weeks of debating back and forth between the classic luminor style 372 and the newly released radiomir style 587 I finally decided crownguard for the win and took delivery of this beauty below. This one is so versatile that it really can dress up/down to a serious extent. The strap is fresh from leather master and great friend Greg Stevens himself in case anybody was wondering - thanks for looking fellas!
