Omega Speedmaster

speedmaster 18k & ss. No serial no. Fake?
In original box from USAF store in Germany 1975. All usual Omega markingsexcept serial number. Where is it? Eta? movmt. marked 46j 1140. Qualityseems to be up to Omega standard, but is uncommon garish style. Fine fake? 18k is not marked. Band marked stainless and 1469/811. Would this be highest jewel count Omega autowind?the more I know the more I know how little I know.

About 2 months ago, I found myself looking for a new watch, and sought advice on this site. Specifically, I was looking for an automatic chronograph with a pulsometer or tachymeter scale. Some flaws on my PAM 236
Hi all!After hard thinking i decided to buy a used PAM 236. I got it this week. And happiness was total. But I have discovered two things about the watch.First, the crystal is a bit skew. It seems tighter to the crown at 12 o'clock than at 6 o'clock. Im attaching a pic where I marked it. Can this affect the function of the watch, like water proofness or anything else? Maybe this can be corrected at a service?glass_difference.jpgThe other thing is that it came with a 1.60mm screwdriver, which is too big for the link screws. Does anyone know what screwdriver is supposed to come with a PAM 236? Could 1.40 mm be the one?Any help in these matters would be most appreciated.Regards,Dan

Hey all, just wanted to share my recent story. I've always been into vintage watches and the stories behind them - who did the watch belong to? Where did they buy it, and why? Was it to celebrate something, or to use as a tool? For this reason I've really been attracted to vintage watches with lots of history.Well, last week I was in Colombia on my honeymoon and my wife bought me a wedding gift down there that I'm just crazy about. I'm not usually a modern watch fan but when we went to look, this watch just fit. The more I wear it the more I realize how perfect it is for me. Size is spot on - it has everything I need and nothing I don't. Plus, green is my favorite color... I love the playful orange pips and how it doesn't take itself too seriously. It reminds me of Michaelangelo, who everybody knows was the best ninja turtle by far. Plus, it's functional - my vintage pieces are great but it's nice to have something with working lume that I know is just built like a tank.One day I can h
