Ball Engineer II Ohio GMT COSC Watch
A little retro action from Ball right here. No doubt you are going to start thinking of all the classic watches that Ball looked to for influence when designing the Engineer II Ohio GMT COSC Chronometer watch. A little classically styled Jaeger-LeCoultre aesthetic never hurt anyone. In steel and 40mm wide, the Ohio GMT is a great classy watch with the conveniences you've come to expect from Ball. Yes, you can get an ultra modern looking big watch from them, but they are also starting to be more proud of their simple line of more conventional timepieces. Even when presented with that whole "well it looks like XXXXX," Ball will just retort with "well yea, but we do all the same things that that watch does, in a good quality case for this price." Thinking of getting a JLC...
I needok so I don't actually need, but you know what I mean, lolto get a new watch.I like classy but understated watchestending more dressy than sporty but something versatile to be suitable for both formal & casual settings. I was going to get either the Rolex gmtiic or a Grand Seiko (like the SBGW001). But after procrastinating & looking around the web I am distracted by the JLC Master Control (in SS) , which seems to be around within my budget of a few grand.1) Are JLC considered an understated or ostentatious brand? In terms of brand prestige, is it as respected as Rolex?2) What kind of discount can I expect with JLC? Reasonably generous or minimal? (I would be buying new from an AD of course. I could pay cash if that would get me a better discount.)3) What are typical servicing costs for JLC? Can any reputable independent watchmaker service them, or must they go back to an authorized JLC service facility?4) Is the display back crystal sapphire or mineral? It would be a dea

Omega PO - Fair Price?
Hi all, I am new to the forum. I thought I get some opinions on price and value of the PO. I can purchase a PO w/ the rubber band for $2K. I was looking for one with a SS band but thought $2K is a pretty fair price and upgrade later to the SS band. However, I was quoted a SS band costing $1200. Do you think I should hold out until I can find a SS PO or pull the trigger on this the PO w/ the rubber band? Will I be able to find pre-owned band on this forum?Any comments would be appreciated.

Tudor GMT Pepsi Thoughts
I really love the new GMT II Pepsi from Rolex, but there was a Pepsi GMT also released from Tudor which is a very beautiful reference as well.
