Panerai PAM00183 wrist watches news:
Hi folks,I recently purchased a Hamilton Power Reserve and have a few questions for everyone. Before wearing it, I assumed that a few days of normal wear (8AM-7PM) would increase the power reserve from 0 to 100% in a simple and straight-forward manner. This has not really been the case. After wearing it for a few days, I have noticed that the only way to substantially increase the power reserve gauge is to manually spin the watch, because my daily motion keeps the reserve more or less constant (possibly slightly increasing it, but not by much). The first day I wore the watch (Monday) I did spin it to get it to about 80-85% full, but if the power reserve is an accurate gauge it would run out of juice sooner or later with normal wear. As of today (Thursday of the same week), it's hovering around 50%. This is because during the hours when I'm not wearing it at all (at night), the gauge slowly but steadily decreases, and like I said, when I put it back on and wear it the next day, it wil
Simple question that can be answered in many ways. I'm going to answer for a watch that I initially had decided to return and have since kept and fallen in love for. The watch I'm referring to is my Movado Military. When I opened the watch box I was underwhelmed. It was light and for some reason the optimism I had before arrival just wasn't there. So, back in the box it went, I called the dealer and requested an return number. For some reason I waited a day or two before sending it. After those two days had passed, I took it back out and put it on the wrist with all of the plastic on it, and let my wife look at it. She loved it and the more I wore it around, so did I. I think the initial box opening, I had fallen victim to what a lot of people have when it comes to Movado. I was expecting more than what the watch claimed it would do. Movado watches have a clear and simple goal. They are supposed to be simple, elegant, light, thin, dress watches. After a little ti
I have been toying with the idea of getting a winder, but one of the problems I have is that a winder won't really fit in my safe. Well, not if I want anything else in there too, such as the other watches that don't fit on it, let along anything else. So, if it won't fit then it needs to be left out. But the problem with that is that it is likely to be the more expensive watches that get on the winder, and then they will be the ones just sitting out all the time.I don't live in a bad part of town, and we have never been broken into, although our neighbours have. But why push your luck and have many thousands of $$ of watches just sitting out. What are your thoughts about winders vs. security?
Hi guys, I'm turning 24 and will be graduating this summer.Going to buy my second watch, got an Omega SeaMaster 300m Mechanical when I was 21.Looking for something a step up on my second one, maybe something more classy, but still decent to wear as an everyday watchProb going to spend around 10k USD, being looking at a few rolex's, but am also interested in stuff like jaeger lecoulture, frank muller, exc. Will only be looking at new watches, so things like pp or vc will prob be out of my price range.I'm still new to watches, so if anyone have some suggestions on which watches I could be looking at, that would be great :DI will be traveling to asia exc, so I will prob end up buying in HongKong, since I saw some ridiculous collections last time I went thereProb won't make the purchase until June or so, but I want to have a good feel of which watch i really want :)Cheers
