Hi Everybody,I have just signed up onto your forum.Currently i have a Breitling 2 tone Evolution with green face.Any ideas where i should look for a 2 tone submariner ? prices in Australia seem pretty high.If i buy overseas does anyone have a reliable authentic outlet they could recomend? What should i pay for 2003/04 model?I heard Rolex now do a 42or 44mm face on one of their models? Please excuse my ignorance but i am very keen to own one so if anyone has some advise i would be most gratefulKind RegardsAndrew
Really...I swear I was only looking when the site popped up the infamous "Make an offer" banner. I made an offer and for about the first time ever the offer was accepted. Now I had to buy and I'm glad I did. Seiko 5 Sports model SNZJ13K1 is in all actuality a very nice watch. Yes, it has folded stainless end links on the bracelet and it has the shake to start 7S36B 23-jewel made in Japan movement that doesn't hack and can't be hand wound. But, I have never had any trouble with any Seiko at any price point and this one looks really nice.43.5mm case diameter13mm case thicknessBlack dial with the day and date display at threeCrown at fourSolid stainless bracelet (except for the aforementioned end links) with a fold over clasp with double push buttons and a fold over safety catch.Typical Seiko lume on hands and markersIt's a keeper and here are a few picturesThanks for looking.
Hello. I am new this particular watch forum. Over the holidays my parents dug out my grandparents and great-grandparents' watches. Among them was this Patek Philippe Calatrava that belonged to my great-grandfather. My best guess is that he received this as a retirement or milestone anniversary gift from the company he worked for starting in 1922. He passed in 1977 so my best guess is that this dates sometime between 1942 and the late 1960s. I have sent it to PP for restoration and a proper strap but would be very interested in any insights on what model this might be. I just sent it in through an AD less than a week ago so I don't expect to hear anything for at least a month. I imagine it's destined for a long trip to Switzerland for restoration. Thank you.
