Slim watches are very chic right now. The diminutive profile on your wrist keeps the watch barley noticeable by the wearer. As fas as slim watches go, anything under 8mm tall on your wrist is considered very thin for a mechanical watch. Quartz watch slimness on the other handwell that is another story.The Chopard L.U.C. XP Ultra-Slim has a lot going for it. The "flat on your wrist" watch houses a splendid, just over 3mm high, Chopard in-house L.U.C. automatic movement with a power reserve of 70 hours. Jake Erlich has been asking this question in his podcast interviews and to me, it is a very thought provoking question. Mainly I think so, because Rolex is one of the most recognized brands in the world, yet I can't remember specifically any event or situation that made an impression on me. I don't rember not knowing about the name, and the only thing I remember specifically was my mom saying once that "honey those watches are for people with lot's of money". Not in a bad or resentful way, as she always taught us to me open minded and worldly, so it was just that they were way up there in scale.
