Patek Philippe 5101R-001 wrist watches news:
Hey folks!I have a 1911 Hamilton Size 16 Railroad Pocket Watch. 972L Grade. # 1,322,820. It has a beautiful Montgomery face and is overall in excellent condition, except that it needs a mainspring, a couple of case screws and a minute hand. I found a mainspring, but am still missing the remaining parts. Anyone have any idea where I could find them? Thanks in advance!
I love them - but it seems to me everyone only talks about Rolex, Omega's, and hell, even TAG i hear more then brietlings now...The gent i work with has a significant collection and all he can talk about when it comes to brietlings is extra stock and the company (in his opinion) in a little bit of trouble.Thoughts? Why doesn't this brand seem to have the hype of the others? is it maybe just because I'm in Canada?
After much debate, I decided to go with the 42.5 - I like the proportions of the dial better than the 45.5. I almost went 45, but aesthetically, I like this one. Something about the size of the minute markers to the negative space on the dial make me like the smaller dial better. And it fits better - who am I kidding. I also put them both next to a DateJust and the 45 made the DJ smaller than I had hoped - I still want a SS DJ, if you can't tell. And I like the matte dial - I always have. I like it better than the LM version, too.Let me know what you think...No unboxing - I don't have that kind of patience. And last - the wrist shot. You can see why I didn't go 45 - my wrists just can't do this one like a Panerai. Those fit - this at 45 didn't.Thanks for looking and thanks for all the earlier comments.Rob
My SD43 has been simply amazing when it comes to keeping time. Since I got it in middle of December 2017, the watch hasn¡¯t lost or gained 1 sec.I don¡¯t use any apps...I just see the second-hand hitting 12 every time my iPhone clock changes minutes. That¡¯s how I set it over two months ago. That¡¯s just crazy accurate for a mechanical piece.I wear it everyday and it sits on my nightstand when I sleep. None of my other Rolex or Omega watches has been this accurate. Is it the new movement ?Or did I just get lucky ?I am curious to know what other SD43 are like when it comes to keeping time.
Hi all,I'm so excited to share my new baby with you all today. I've been researching my first Rolex purchase since October when I got the go ahead from my wife to purchase a Rolex to celebrate my 40th birthday a bit later this year. I tried some on in October and was still unsure which model I preferred. Having a 7.5 wrist, I was unsure if models like the Explorer I 39mm, 40mm Submariner and GMT II, or something larger like the Explorer II 42mm would fit best. After much research, hours on the forums, more hours on Youtube reviews, I started to settle on the Submariner 114060 No Date model. It has the functionality (GlideLock, timing bezel and all brushed bracelet) and clean looks I was after. Then, as we all know, availability tanked. I wasn't able to find anything at local ADs through November to present. With Basel coming up and rumors of new models and price increases circulating, I decided that in order to get the watch I truly wanted, I was probably going to have to pounce as soo
