Yesterday, I was fooling around, and entered an antiques shop, and found this babyI got it for $30 , so I decided to restore it...The bracelet is broken, and have no clasp, so will be replaced for a leather strap...The crystal and crystal gastek will be replacedThe case/caseback will be polished/brushed againAnd finally, the movement need to be repaired/cleaned , lucky I got a lot of spares when restoring my blue hummer, so no problem The dial is in pristine condition, all the lettering is intact, the index markers and Omega logos are perfect too, a good clean up will do it...

Hey Guys,Quick question. If you were buying a watch on sites such as ebay, what are the best precautions/guidelines to take? For example, some watches that retail around 1000 end up around the 200s range. That seems quite the deal, but am i missing something? Is it just the fact that it has been "used" that brings down the price or could there be something wrong with the watch?
