Jaeger-LeCoultre announces the seventh version of their Aston Martin automobile collaboration watches with the AMVOX 7 Chronograph. It marks eight years of working together with the auto maker on a watch which began with the kitschy idea of having a function that allows you to lock and unlock your Aston Martin car with a luxury watch. Marc Newson offers a rare interview discussing his career designing watches with Dezeen. In the video Newson offers some interesting details that many people might not be aware of. Newson started to design watches and clocks back in the 1980s. In the 1990s he started the watch brand Ikepod - which arguably helped set a lot of trends in both watch design and production. Newson does sort of credit himself as having started the "big watch" trend. True or not, it is charming to see him boast about it.I've talked to Ikepod about working with Marc during the last several years of their relationship. They expressed a trying relationship with Marc, describing him as being highly creative but difficult to work with, as well as demanding. Ikepod had a very successful first couple of years but the business of watches slowly eroded the relationship between the people running the brand and Newson. It's not too much activity on the forum today. I wounder whyI am interested in learning something about Rolex that I don't yet know. Usually I learn a lot each day from this forum. Today I don't think I have learned anything newI used to like jubilee bracelet better then oyster bracelet before. This has all changed. I now actually like oyster bracelet better. It is still some types I think looks better with the jubilee bracelet but if I could only choose one bracelet for ever I would most likely choose a oyster.Pepsi and Cola GMT-Master looks better with jubilee bracelet in my opinion.So does whit dialed Explorer II. Yellow Gold datejust is also better looking with a Jubilee and some other datejust's fits a jubilee better then an oyster bracelet too. More or less all the other watches I like with a oyster bracelet.
