Patek Philippe 5117J wrist watches news:
Zenith is in it for the long haul here at Baselworld 2015. At least that’s what one can deduce from its latest offering, the Elite 6150. The Elite line is Zenith’s slimmer, dressier offering, and with the 6150’s more-than-100-hour power reserve, it’s almost guaranteed to be an enduring benchmark. The new Elite 6150 comes in a 42 mm stainless-steel case – a size that Zenith plans to make standard for the line. The case is polished throughout with tapered lugs that hopefully make this wear smaller than it is. The main attraction is the silver-toned dial. Not only is it cambered, but it also has feuille hands (even a feuille-shaped second hand) and matching leaf-shaped hour markers. The devil is in the details, and details, good or bad, are more pronounced in simple designs (which is why it’s crucial to get them right.) 1 OF 1 Without a doubt, the new Elite’s pebble architecture has vintage nuances – like any watch that seems t
My wife purchased a Wolf Watch Winder for me for Christmas. It has the ability to wind clockwise, counterclockwise or both and can be set to start when you turn it on or after 12 hours. From what I can tell and my research on this brand it seems to be a very nice device. However, it doesn't keep my Oris Diver Date wound. If I leave it on the Winder for more than a day or so, my watch stops. Does anyone here have any advice for me? Should I use the clockwise setting? Or one of the other two? Does anyone one else have any problems with their Oris and watch winders?I've tried to do research on Google but most of the hits I get are for companies that SELL watch winders.Thanks.
I have three (what I refer to as) heirloom watches. I may not ever wear them, but I don't ever want to get rid of them. They'll go to my daughter when I leave this earthly plane and she can figure out what to do with them. Sadly, the three previous owners of these watches are no longer with us. I decided to shoot these while messing around with a new table-top studio. This is my Dad's old Hamilton:This is my Step-Dad's old Omega. It needs a little bit of work:And last, but not least, is my Grandfather's old Fortis Eastern Star. I posted this one a few years back, before having it cleaned and tuned up:If anyone knows anything about these; age, etc, I would surely appreciate it!
Most of you will be aware. But it's been years since I watched terminator 3And last time I saw it I was not into ap. anyway arnie finds an ap right at the beginning when getting his clothes and sunnies! Then later in film im sure Kate Brewster father is wearing a RO of some description also!!
I've probably mentioned this in previous posts but I figured I'd put it out there and elicit some opinion and advice.I have a decent collection of Rolex watches. SS Daytonas, Subs, Pepsi GMT Etc. All watches are Pre-ceramic and none massively oversized. All worn but in very good condition.I now have two Pateks and will eventually get a Perpetual Calendar and maybe even an Annaul Calendar. Who knows when, but it will happen. After buying and wearing Patek, I no longer have much of an appetite for Rolex. A Patek is special. I dont know why, they just feel different. I'm not a buyer of hype, propaganda or slick advertising. I just really like them. Maybe I'm just getting old(er). So what do I do? I'm not a trader. I've never flipped anything. I look at my Rolex watches and I think they are great. Good tough watches that can take a lot of punishment. I seemed to have lucked out and acquired watches that pretty much keep perfect time. Really lucky. But I look at them and f
