Halloween is my favorite childhood holiday for good reason; it attempts to imbue fantasy with reality for at least one day. And it is perfectly legitimate to do so. That is why I have been tempted on so many occasions to spend hundreds on fancy costumes.Likewise, Corum knows how to imbue a healthy amount of fantasy in their watches and make them perfectly legitimate luxury timepieces. OP 39 Blue- am I too old?
With your help, opinions, etc, I visited my local Rolex dealer yesterday and got a 214270 Explorer. I had the short hand model for a short while, and am really pleased with this watch. They had a used, very clean OP 39 in Blue. I had a Grape last year and liked it, for whatever reason I parted with it. I now feel though that the OP 39s may be too youngish for me. I am 66. What do you guys think, and if you have one and endorse it, if you feel like it, give your age, or if you think there is a particular demographic for this watch. I know it comes down to personal taste... and I kind of feel like I may finally arrived at a watch that I truly love in the 214270 Explore, maybe best to quit while ahead... thank you!
