Bedat & Co 324.550.100 wrist watches news:
Hi guys, "first time poster, long time reader". I finally bought my first real deal watch. Omega Seamaster 300M #2254.50.00. I found it at XXXXX, new for $1,359.00. So I ordered it, I get it looks great comes in white omega box holding sweet red leather box, with fat manual and white leather card holder. But none of the 3 cards it is supposed to have. The Watch looks new, I had it sized and looked at by my local Omega dealer. They thought every thing was there except the cards. XXXXX has no questions asked 30 return. Any ideas, I really do not want to return it.
I sent this rare Dixon dial back in Nov. 2010 to them. They didn't have the proper die for it, so I sent them the blueprint and gave the go ahead to make a new die ($100 + $33 to refinish my dial). It still isn't done after numerous emails back and forth over the months. Always a promise that it'll be done soon. Even normal ones are taking way longer than usual. Anyone else having issues? I guess I'm going to have to make a phone call.
A friend gave me his old quartz Tag (~8yrs old) to clean up and sell, but I can't find any relevant info regarding the watch. It is quartz, with rotating bezel and SS case and bracelet. No significant markings present. Several of the markers and numbers have fallen off of the dial, it needs a battery, and it's missing the link that connects to the case. The markers have feet on them, so I'm thinking they will not be difficult to reattach. If I can't find the proper link he has no problem with installing a strap. What I need to know is:1) Where can I find the case/bracelet link? (circled in pic)2) How much would the watch be worth in 70-75% condition? Thanks!
Has anyone done this by themselves? We are speaking about the bracelet with pins not screws, if you have, which tool? (if you have a link would be great) and how hard is it to do it yourself. Thanks guys!
My Vintage Rolex Sports Models book arrived yesterday. An amazing production that I am going to enjoy reading.Better all watch out now as I have most of the answers.
