Earlier in 2014 we showed you the newest creation by Breva, their Genie 02 Altimeter watch with a hands-on look. It followed up the Genie 01 watches from 2013 that included a barometer. For Baselworld 2014, Breva is adding an additional version of the Genie 02 with the Genie 02 Air produced in a titanium case that has been coated in black and bears slightly different dial and calibration.The Genie 02 is a rather complicated watch given the fact that it has a mechanical altimeter in it. When Breva originally released the Genie 02 they tried to pen it as a watch for use on high mountains while skiing to check your altitude. I figured it made a bit more sense for them to focus on it being an aviation watch. Hi All, I'm new to the forum. Hoping you guys could help answer my questions. I stumbled upon this beauty (can't post image yet) last week as I was recommended by a friend and I'm really interested to buy the watch. I found huge scratch on the bracelets. Hoping I can find some answers here in the forum. 1. Is it good idea to polish 15202ST? Do you think it will lower its price value significantly? I know that some brands should NOT be polished at all, but I don't know much about AP. 2. Instead of polishing, is there any other solution? Is it possible to just replace that 1 plate of the bracelet? I don't mind a few dents here and there, but that scratch really bothers me. 3. Is it possible to replace the bracelet altogether? Will it affect it's values somehow? 4. Regarding the warranty, I was told that its 2 years warranty had recently expired just a couple of weeks ago. As far as I know, AP has 3 years warranty. I've long toyed with the idea of owning an Aerospace but was never keen on the older models for various reasons. An opportunity came up recently for a 2007 model and I pulled the trigger. Interesting to reflect on the fact that this timepiece is already 10 years old.As expected, extremely comfortable to wear, balanced and looks nice, despite being a departure from my 34-40mm usual range.A nice value for a watch with interesting pedigree.
