Patek Philippe 5153J wrist watches news:
On October 5, Audemars Piguet Japan held the brand’s 135th anniversary and new product launch party in the ¡°Choice!¡± restaurant on the third floor of Tokyo’s prestigious Ark Mori building. The event was attended by 500 guests including VIPs, celebrities and media. The evening included the launch of a new Royal Oak Offshore limited edition. Mr. Go Mugino, Chief Executive Officer of Audemars Piguet Japan, introduced the evening¡¯s first “special guests”: brand founders Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet appeared in a hologram to greet attendees. Through the wonders of technology, they talked about the history of AP and the watch industry in general, and how things have changed since the time they first started. Historical watches representing 135 years of history were on display around them. The next and most special guest, representing the brand¡¯s newly released watch model, was Formula 1 racing ace Jarno Trulli, who has been has been serving as Audemar
Hi all, this is my first post @ WTF which I find a very useful site to get more info about watches..Well I've been using a SS Submariner for almost 14 yrs. on a daily basis. I really trust this Sub. It's a work horse.. It never stopped.A couple of days ago I felt its movement getting a bit heavier while adjusting the time so I sent it to Rolex maintenance,, the guy there told me it needs cleaning, oil & O-rings change. OK no problem..Since I am an Engineer but not a watch expert,, can anybody inform me:-What parts should be oiled ?-What kind of oil they are using ?-How frequent a Sub must be oiled ?-What may happen to the engine if not oiled for 14 yrs.?-How many O-rings must be changed ?Thank you All...
'Cause I'm back Yes, I'm back Well, I'm back Yes, I'm back Well, I'm back, back (Well) I'm back in black Yes, I'm back in black
What are some of the best watch names you can conjure? How about some of the "worst"? Naturally, the name doesn't affect the quality of the watch, but it is something that's referenced, and can have some sort of initial importance. As with cars, I'm not a fan of futuristic, made-up names (Accutron, Diastar, for example) or people's names (unless they designed or engineered it). I also am not a fan of, oddly considering the quality of the pieces, many of Omega's models: Seamaster, Constellation. I don't know why, exactly Also, there are some companies that just sound strange, like Butex, Haurex (I get Timex). When I first heard of it, I thought Zenith was a cheapy brand made by the appliance company I'm also wary of "French" or "Swiss"-sounding namesespecially when the brand isn't from France or Switzerland ;)That being said, I'd be more than happy to take anyone's Accutron, Rado, Seamaster or Maurice Lacroix (I knowSwiss) off their hands I kind of like the simplicity of numbers, names
... pics below.Seriously, it's for her to wear. She likes larger case sizes, so the 36mm is perfect for her. She also strongly, strongly prefers bracelets over leather straps, which made it a bit difficult to find a proper mechanical Patek for her. She loves it.And it is pure coincidence that our wrists are almost the same size. Really, this is her watch. No, no, I wouldn't dream of borrowing/wearing this watch. Would I...?
