Hey guys! This summer I intend to buy a vintage hamilton. I need your help in figuring out which models fall under what I am looking for. I am looking for a gold-filled manual wind (possibly auto) with center seconds preferable. Also, I want at least a few numbers/markers on the dial. As a hint, I am a fan of the new gold thin o matic hamilton made this year! Thank you for any help, it is really appreciated as I am a complete newbie to vintage. Ps, does anyone know a good place to find a 60s-70s military issued hamilton?

I have several patek watches but the 5960 is my favorite. I prefer it over my 5970 perpetual chronograph since I don¡¯t have to wind it and I can see the power reserve. I hate not being certain about my time with when I wear my 5970 and not sure if it is wound. Although I cannot see the movement with the 5960 like I can with the 5970 due to the rotor, I don¡¯t really care. The automatic movement and Patek¡¯s first chronograph make it a special watch to me. I also love the mono chronometer dial. I use it as a GMT all the time. For example, my wife is in Europe now and I can see what time it is there with my chronograph once I set it at 12:00 to their time. The size is perfect and the annual calendar function is fantastic. To me it serves as a GMT and annual calendar watch with power reserve that is very useful to me when I travel. The day of the week and the ability to see the other time zone is what I require most when I travel.I prefer the original platinum and rose dial because of the
First post! Last month my wife bought me a ceramic sub date. After expecting a 2 year wait got 'the call' after 2 months. Have not stopped staring at it since! It also led me to this forum which I've lost hours on!I was hoping for some advice; We were at an AD yesterday and she really likes the diamond face datejust 36 (126223). It's ?9,750 and we got to ?9,300. Pretty sure could have got it done at ?9,000. Would you expect more to be knocked off, or does that seem about right?
