Patek Philippe Patek Philippe 14830 wrist watches news:
Did you know that we, at HODINKEE, have published hundreds of professionally shot, highly produced videos on watches over the span of the last few years? You can see them all on our Youtube page. One video, originally published in June of 2014, the HODINKEE editorial team felt would be a particularly poignant clip to show today, when most Americans are away from work due to Labor Day. This video, Talking Watches with Jean-Claude Biver, not only tells us how he, and other top tier consumers collect (case quality and dial originality are a must!), but also about his early days in the watch industry, which date back to the 1970s. In sum, this 20 minute video is an amazing primer on not only serious watch collecting, but also how the watch industry came to be what it is today. Watch above and for more, you can see the full Talking Watches with Jean-Claude Biver here.
I just want to say Thank You Arthur for your help / advice on the vintage 1500 Turns outthe person I sold my 16613 to a few years back is willing to sell it back to me for the original price plus $200.00for a total of 5200.00 I am quite happy about this. I'm picking it up tomorrow, will post pics He said he kept in the safe for 4 years and wore it 4-5x Can I pick your brain and ask what would it be valued at now ?The sub is an F series - 18k/SS Blueface purchased by me in 2003 in St. Maarten for 5300.00Im thinking I did very well THANKS !!!
Hello all, I'm beginning a restoration on a late 40's early 50's (not sure of exact date) Cyma 'watersport'. It's housed in a square SS case and contains a cal. 420 automatic (bumper) movement. (also referred to as a Tavannes 420).There seems to be 'little' information on Cyma watches (on the web) even though they have a long history (starting in the late 1800's and manufacturing in-house movements through the post WWII era (late 50's early 60's)). The brand name is still being sold today, but I'm not sure of what linkages (if any) exist between the past company and the current marketed brand (again, no info I could find). I did discover that the 'watersport' was a fairly popular model and collected by a number of enthusiasts (maybe years back, not sure of the demand today). As for the movement, parts are still being carried by JB (well some of them anyway) so that's good, but I've not been able to locate 'any' sources for case parts (specifially crystal, gasket). So any leads here wo
would really appreciate if all you 15400 owners can post a pic of it on your wrist WITH a description of your wrist size so i can get a clear picture of what it would look like on wrist. Many thanks guys I have a 6.7inch wrist (17 cm)
Hello guys,I am looking to make a purchase but couldn't actually decide which way to go for. I got my 5550p as my first Patek a few months ago and now looking to add a second one.So my question is ;5960p + Richard Mille RM 30 Black Out vs 5270GThe cost of both scenarios will be really close to me. I really thought about 5270G before purchasing my 5550p but went with 5550p since it was a 300 limited version. But I still have my mind at 5270G. But I also want a blue dial watch (not necessarily a Patek) and a Richard Mille in my collection. And one more question, I was wondering if 5270G will be replaced any time soon or is expected to lose any value? I'd not want the value to decrease sharply after 1-2 years of my purchase. What do you guys say?Thank you!Salih
