Need a sense of perspective
Evening gents. I am weighing a purchase and wondering about the risks.I am looking at a used watch purchase from a holder on another continent. The watch looks like a decent value but is certainly not a one of kind opportunity, if I'm willing to wait. But the watch looks good and includes all the right stuff. Assuming the good will and honesty of the seller is established, would you still hesitate on an overseas purchase because of risks like duties or collecting on the insurance should an international package go missing, or other risks I haven't anticipated? How would you look at weighing such a purchase decision?thx,Brad

OK___as I stated the other day, Omega "found" yet another 2010 ORIGINAL, in Switzerland, where they made only 1,948 models,REAL ______LIQUID-METAL 42MM____WATCH FOR ME. (There were many doubters on here, but it is true)The watch is just like you have viewed it__ bloody beautiful__But I am very tired of looking at stainless steel bracelets.With your help, I hope to find the one in black or `gun-metal grey' It measures 22m wide at the watch. Your help will be most appreciated !!!Thank you members,Duvall

I recieved an email today informing me of the death of Gerad Genta . If you are unaware of his contribution to watchmaking , here are some highlights ; Royal Oak for Audemars Piguet, the Nautilus de Patek Philippe, the Ingenieur of IWC and Omega¡¯s Constellation.Mr. Genta own label featured the use of jump hours with retrograde minutes and seconds , retrograde pertetual calanders and chronograph all of which were based on new in-house designs . He was a true pioneer who brought functionality to very original designs . I have had the pleasure of working on many of his pieces and was always impressed by the quality and absolute attention to detail .
