Patek Philippe 5496P wrist watches news:
The Breitling Aerospace is one of Breitling's most successful watches. Why? Because it was relatively economical, masculine stylish, and housed Breitling's Super Quartz movement (thermoline Quartz which is about 20 times more accurate than a standard quartz movement). However, the last iteration of the Aerospace released was a while ago. Close to 10 years. Yes, there has been a resurgence in the popularity of mechanical movements, but there is still such a big market for them.Realizing this, Germany's Junghans felt it had a way to offer a similar watch to the Breitling Aerospace collection while adding its own strengths to the mix. Junghans has been at the forefront of radio controlled watches for years. These watches receive signals from local atomic clocks (you have to be in a participating country which includes Germany, UK, Japan, USA, and some surrounding areas), and constantly sync themselves. This means you never need to worry about to the second accuracy, for the most part. If
Anyone have a tutorial on changing the bezel on a PO?Thanks in advance.
I told you all about the great first impression from Kevin @ Orbita. Well, a box showed up yesterday and the second impression was just as good. I'll walk you though the process and let you know my thoughts...First - Packaging. I, uh, order things once and a while. This had to be one of the best packing jobs I have seen. Here is the box just opened:I then pulled out the packing and put it back together - I was really impressed at the simplicity and protection. The top view:The side view:Of course, you need one of the box itself:And opening it - once again, everything nicely prepped and protected:And here it is holding my Jazzmaster - I'm not sure which is better looking...Initial thoughts:Quality is top notch. Fit and finish is beautiful. There is a small blemish on the BACK of the unit - after all, I did get this from the Orbita Outlet and it states there could be blemishes. You can't see it - if all "Outlet" goods were in this kind of shape, I would never walk in a retail store
Tried it on at the AP boutique in Singapore a few days back. And I almost forgot that I was wearing it before leaving the boutique! It was that comfortable! I like the design too, especially the titanium/ceramic combo, stick hour markers, 42mm case with conventional turban pushers and crown, as well as the Diver-style strap & tang buckle. The only thing that didn't sing very well to me is the bead-blasted finishing on the titanium watch case. But that's just a personal preference. Otherwise the entire watch is perfectly harmonized in design and really a gem on the wrist. Some quick shots at the boutique...
For whatever reason there's a Rolex AD less than two miles from my house, but the nearest Omega AD is an hour away. So I haven't yet had the chance to go and put on a Speedmaster Professional.I've been wanting a new Hesalite Moonwatch for awhile. Maybe Rolex has my senses skewed, but the Speedy Pro seems like a great value, killer looks, storied history, etc. I wonder though how it'll wear...I know it's easy to find negative comments online, but I've read that the bracelet isn't awesome because there isn't enough adjustability, it's heavy, the links are thick and big, etc. I know it comes with a NATO as well, but I really think I'm 99% a bracelet guy (though I agree it looks great on a NATO).So I'm curious if anyone on here has had extended wrist time with both, particularly the current Speedmaster iteration, and can give me your thoughts.
