In my Panerai purchase?My brother called yesterday, after he went to a Panerai London AD, and he asked this:Are you sure you want that watch? (The PAM24) I see nothing special about it, it's somehow plain and I didn't feel it as a great watch , don't you want me to go to see a Rolex or an Omega? (perhaps buying two or three Omegas with the cost of the PAM )Of course he's not a watch guy at allbut he knows my taste very well, and altough I like the PAM24 very much, his first impressions are usually the right ones...So what you think? should I step back on this purchase?Besides the looks, what's that so special about Panerai that got you "catched"Please I just want your opinions on the specs/feels about Panerai, if you want to bash the brand or so, please do it somewhere else, thanks

Gold for Gold? Would you?
I am contemplating moving my 42m new style Gold ROO (26470or) for a Gold RO (15400or black face/black alligator strap) and using the left over $$ to pick up a pre-owned (or new) Diver or another more casual piece (possibly Rolex).Does this make sense ? I do like the 26470or (yes I like the dial ) but am thinking the combo of the 15400or and diver will give me a little more diversity in providing one dressier and one more casual piece. I do have a FC44 which would stay.As always.....thoughts are very welcome and opinions are appreciated ! TIA
