Philip Stein 1DFCMOPZBL wrist watches news:
HelloI am hoping for some advice on purchasing a "grey market" Rolex via the internet.I am wanting to locate a 16610LV and am considering going this route vs an AD.It seems there are many reputable dealers out there who are able to provide new or slightly used Rolex product at great prices with great service to back it up.My question is if I buy one of these, what is my ability to have it serviced either in or out of warranty by Rolex USA?I assume that if you buy from a non AD, you are on your own for warranty, but what about in 4 or 5 years when the watch needs to go in for service, will Rolex service it even though it is out of warranty? Those of you who have purhased grey watches, opinions on who to deal with would be appreciated based on your experiences would be most welcome.Any help is appreciated
So after buying my wifes DJ today I spent some time talking to my AD about the Milgauss...it is a beautiful watch and I am very intrigued...it is officially been added to my 'watch' list.I love how it does not have the stereotypical Rolex look but is still made with the same Rolex quality and will wear exceptionally well over the long-term. I plan to do much more research and will share what I learn with you all.If any of you have any information, opinions or experience with the Milgauss let me know.Does anyone know what the MSRP is on the green crystal model?
The other day I had to re set my new SD 16600 'V' serial to British Summer time and thought I'd give it a quick manual wind whilst I was at it.I'd been wearing it and so it was probably fairly well wound already.I noticed that the crown didn't "pop out" unless I continued turning it way past when it seemde to have have reached the end of the screw in thread! By this I mean that I ceased to feel as if any thread was lft and the crown was turning with no resistance.Eventually it popped out, much in the same way as someone who strolls in late for a meeting as cheefull as you like, completely unaware or uncaring of their lateness! Also once it did and I wound it manually it seemed very "rough" an "clicky"!Is this normal for a well wound watch when winding manually? Is it normal for the crown not to "pop out" as son as the crown thread has been unscrewed but to pop out after a few few more seemingly thread free, smooth & un resisted turns?I've had both a Sub date and an SD before and can'
